I am currently a postdoc associate in Prof. Vicky Nguyen's group in the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute (HEMI) at the Johns Hopkins University. I obtained my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland-College Park under the supervision of Prof. Teng Li. During my Ph.D. study, I also visited Prof. Zhigang Suo's group at Harvard University as a visiting Ph.D. fellow.
My research goal is to understand and design extremely deformable materials and structures through integrated theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches. The may focus is on the underlying physics and mechanics of stimuli-responsive materials/structures and their applications in advanced technologies such as energy storage, stretchable electronics, soft robotics, and advanced manufacturing.
